Biographical Summary

I am an environmental engineer, interested in hydrology, hydraulics and fluvial geomorphology. I studied at Politecnico di Torino, spending one year at EPF Lausanne as an exchange student.

SCCER-SOE Responsibilities

My research task is simulating the response of river and groundwater systems to different regulation strategies and produce a methodology to quantify the effects of such responses on typical riparian vegetation species (Salicaceae), taking into account water stress (groundwater levels and fluctuations, flow velocity, shear stress, inundated areas, shoreline extent and air temperature variability at the gravel-bar scale) and nutrient vs water stress (growth rate measurement, N:P rates).
