Marcus Herrmann obtained his M.Sc. in Geophysics from the Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany. He completed an internship at the Swiss Seismological Service and currently continues his studies on short-term seismic risk as a Ph.D. candidate. He has his main research interests in seismic risk, statistical seismology, and earthquake forecasting.
Marcus is part of the Risk Governance team. He will work on methods to detect smaller earthquakes. More smaller earthquakes will help to better understand the seismic response of the underground to induced geothermal activities.
