I have previously worked with developing snow models and data assimilation schemes for use in operational flood forecasting. My education consists of engineering studies at Uppsala University, Sweden, and doctoral studies at ETH Zuerich.
I work with methods for quantifying snow water resources, in particular increasing the accuracy of forecasted snowmelt rates. Those snow simulation results are required for reliable inflow forecasts to reservoirs useful for optimal hydropower planning. Thus, my work deals with combining model simulation results with field observations through novel data assimilation methods.
