Hannes Krietsch joined the SCCER-SoE at the ETH Zurich in August 2015 as PhD-Student. Previously, he did his Masters (2015) and Bachelor (2012) in Geology at Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. During his studies he focused mainly on structural geology and rock mechanics. Working as research assistant, he gained experiences using a triaxial presses and analogue modelling.
Hannes Krietsch is part of the Geo-energy team, working on a 3D structural geological model for the DUG-Lab part of the Grimsel Test Site, Switzerland. For that purpose he is mapping the tunnels, logging new drill-cores and running borehole logs (Optical Televiewer, Full-wave sonic log, resistivity, etc.). Additionally, he is analyzing the in-situ state of stress. Therefore he is processing data, gained during Overcoring, Hydraulic Fracturing and Hydraulic Testing of Pre-existing Fractures in 2015.
